So you know how on Gilligan's Island, the song used to end with "And the rest!" -- which is just kind of crap, because there were only two more...

This post is basically the "And the Rest" in terms of my Oscar posts.

I know nothing about these categories, and neither does anyone else, which is why they shove this crap in the middle. It's not crap. This is people's livelyhoods, and they are artists, but jeebus -- what does the average yahoo like myself know about cinematography - jack and sprat - which is why I am weighing on only the categories I feel I could offer an educated guess on.And instead of blathering on about each nominee - I'm only going to discuss my pick.

I know people love Miyazaki, I am pretty sure I am the only who does not. Frozen was not only the best animated movie - it was one of the best movies I saw last year, and could even be one of the best animated movies of all time. Such a great message and beautifully animated. One of Disney's best in a long time.

I loved the art direction of this movie. It was a total feast for the eyeballs - a large part of that was the costumes. Great era, and great inspiration to work with, but these were gorgeous! (It's also my pick for production design for this same reason.)

This was a beautifully directed movie. Loved it loved it loved it!

I almost want to vote for Jackass - just because a Jackass movie winning an Oscar is HILARIOUS, but the Lone Ranger was pretty bad-ass too, and I liked that movie, I was the only one apparently, but noogey boogins...GO LONE RANGER GO!
