So while googling the term "painted countertops" I found some blogspot blogs of people who had done such a thing to their laminate.
Which reminded me..."oh yeah, blogger...I used to have one of those!"
Turns out, I still do. I did forget my password, but I just kicked in the backdoor and here I am.
Whew - it's been a while huh Blog?
You got kind of skinny and dirty. I guess it's not your fault, but I've been busy. I've often thought of you fondly, wondered how you were doing, but thought perhaps too much time had passed for us to try to be friends again. But you know what? I'm glad I came back. I've missed you more than I realized.
You hear that world? Blog and I are back together again!!
Much has changed in my life since last I blogged, so I shall attempt to catch you up blog.
My cat died, my dog died, I got engaged, I moved in with a boy, I planned a wedding, I got married, and now I am buying a house and thinking of painting the countertops because they are currently calf-shit yellow, and no one wants to prep their food on calf-shit yellow countertops. Well I guess someone did, back in 1977 -- but they didn't know better, they were watching the Love Boat most likely and didn't think about things like that. They also probably thought glass and brass light fixtures were eternal too. And for some people I guess they are since I could still buy similar fixtures at Menards. (heh Me-Nards)
So I have much to share with you Blog. I will try to do it in a timely manner, filling in the gaps as I go. Plus you will be a great respite from things like packing, painting countertops, or choosing light fixtures.

Hey, that's how we got married too! I just kicked in your backdoor and there I was!!
It's all about the glass and brass. For fun you could allow abstract art to be done by house visitors until you decide to replace them, it would give them some character.
Ooh I like the idea of guest craft-corner...what could go wrong?
